The kid's pedal tractor pull was held this afternoon. It's like the regular tractor pull.

You have to pull a sled that's weighted.

The fair provides the pedal tractor.

You have to provide the muscle.

With a lot of encouragement.

Vinland Fair To Metropolitan Opera

We noticed a few months ago that opera star Joyce Malicky Castle who grew up in Baldwin got her start at the Vinland Fair.

In an interview with the Baldwin Signal she recalled,

"I was always singing for church events, community gatherings, at school,” she said. “I sang at the Vinland Fair. The United Methodist Church — I must have sang there hundreds of times."
